A new look for observations

Observations are now easier to review at a glance, with summaries and individual reports.

Observations

The new Observations table

The way we handle test results and observations has had to evolve so we can keep it easy to understand and integrate with. This is the result of countless hours of behind the scenes work to scalably integrate into any data source, and structure data in a way where it’s usable for our Cycle view and patient app.

Highlights

  • The new Observations table shows results from all reports that have been created, ordered by date.
  • We group them by Type (where possible, according to LOINC code) and show the latest of each result.
  • When the latest result is older than 90 days, we indicate that in red.
  • To share the results with a patient, open the report and click Send to Patient. This is much quicker than the previous flow, where you’d have to send each individually.
  • These reports are a better way for us to deliver results with comments, reference ranges* etc. to patients.
  • You can now create manual reports, which should be simpler than before where you’d have to create multiple test results.
  • You can continue to receive reports from external labs, via integration. Contact us if you’d like to learn more about this.
  • Relevant results are synced into our Cycle views, too.

*When provided via integration.

Noteworthy changes

  • Removed Test Results and replaced it with Observations.
  • Removed Bloodwork from the Diagnostics tab and replaced it with Observations.
  • Separated Patient Observations (logged by patients in the wawa fertility app) into their own tab.
